Kate Schofield is an Occupational Therapist who has worked in Australia and overseas in a range of settings and roles over her 15+ year career. With a brief career as a primary school teacher somewhere along the way, Kate has practical experience working with children and adolescents in accessing the curriculum and appreciates the valuable role teachers and support staff have in collaborating to achieve a student’s goals. Kate is passionate about helping children and their carers identify motivating and functional ways to build their confidence and independence in day to day tasks, whether that be using scissors, crossing the road, riding a scooter or transitioning to high school. Kate is proudly CO-OP trained and enjoys the challenge of problem-solving with clients and carers to build functional skills. Tiarnie Haridemos
Tiarnie Haridemos has been working with children n a wide range of positions for over 5 years. Tiarnie is passionate about positively impacting the lives of children and their families, and finds herself constantly inspired by kids’ creativity, compassion, and resilience.
Beginning her career in 2016 as an Educator at Baringa Childcare Centre, Canberra, Tiarnie studied her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Moving to Sydney in 2017 to attain her Diploma of Music at the JMC Academy, Tiarnie googled her two favourite things to try and find a fulfilling job; “baby” and “music”. This random Seek search led to Tiarnie running Baby Sensory NSW classes in Sydney from 2019-2020. Baby Sensory is a learning and development class for children aged 0-13 months. During these classes Tiarnie used Baby Massage, Baby Sign Language, music, movement and BUBBLES to engage children, promote communication through Key Signing, spark joy in those struggling with postpartum depression and enhance the baby-parent/carer bond.
Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions resulted in Tiarnie shifting to full-time nannying. As a nanny, Tiarnie worked cohesively with the entire family unit, specialising in caring for children with disabilities and neurodiversity, including children on the Autism Spectrum, with ADHD, and anxiety. In 2022, Tiarnie moved to Canada to work as a drama instructor for children aged 7-15 years old at Camp Arowhon; developing and implementing drama programs to build confidence and leadership skills, helping children with anxiety both on and off the stage. Tiarnie is incredibly passionate about bringing her enthusiasm and knowledge to flourish in her new career path as an Occupational Therapist Assistant at Coast and Country!
